Pushpanjali Arts & Bright Stars Entertainment are proud to present Chandan sa Badan, a concert of some of the most evergreen & popular melodies of the musical duo Kalyanji-Anandjibhai. The theme & concept conceived with a carefully selected versatile repertoire of songs by Vibhuti Shah.

Kalyanji-Anandjibhai were known as Bade Miyan Chote Miyan during the 60’s to 80’s. Their arrival in the Bombay film industry as music composers in 1950’s was a golden period of film music and despite it being a very tough time to make a place amongst the big names in music composers at the time, they still managed to attain success amongst the competition.

They have given us some of the most melodious music compositions from 1950’s to 2000’s with hits from movies such as PO Box 999, Chhalia (all antakshari games remember this one song which is most popular & a favourite Dum Dum Diga Diga), Himalay Ki God Mein, Jab Jab Phool Khile, Saraswatichandra, Blackmail, Safar, Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, Don, Qurbani and many more. Their evergreen songs have surpassed time and very much appreciated to this day in shows.

Both Kalyanji and Anandji worked as music composers for over 250 films, 17 of which were golden jubilees and 39 silver jubilees.

Our musician team include:

Vibhuti Shah

Vibhuti Shah has dedicated over 30 years to formal training & performing in different genres of Indian music such as semi-classical, ghazals, bhajans, Bollywood, garba, etc. & now also teaches music. She is a recording artiste producing original works of music under her banner Pushpanjali Arts. Vibhuti has been invited to perform on Asian TV channels & interviewed on Asian Radio. She has performed at some of the most prestigious venues in London and was recently invited to present folk music at the House of Lords.

Apoorv Shah

Apoorv has been singing for over 10 years and is a classically trained versatile singer with a particular preference for Bollywood music and ghazals. He has performed with famous Bollywood playback singers like Sanjeevani Bhelande and Aditya Narayan. He is inspired by the legendary singer Jagjit Singh.

Jay Raval

Jay Raval is a very experienced & versatile singer and has performed with international celebrities like Sonu Nigam, Kumar Sanu, Udit Narayan to name a few and with UK singers.

 Orchestral Band of Rocky Zain

 Rocky Zain and his Orchestral Band is well known in the UK. Rocky is a Musician, Composer and Pianist and has performed with many renowned singers from India and UK, and have been performing Bollywood concerts around the Globe. Rocky’s excellent orchestral team members are Sharad Wadkar on dholak/congo, Arshad on tabla & tumba, Bhargav on congo/dholak, Bhavesh Kapadia on drums and Ashok Ladwa on bass guitar. And to bring this all together for us is our excellent sound engineers Billuji & Kivraj Gharyal.
